Join Tamsin for a magical trip to Southern India, the spiritual home of yoga.
Escape from every day life and fully immerse into the tranquillity of the exclusive beachside retreat set on Varkala’s South Cliff, surrounded by coconut trees and mango groves.
This ten day retreat is designed to recharge your batteries and rejuvenate your mind, body and soul leaving you feeling inspired and refreshed.
Expand your practice with two daily yoga classes at the roof top studio with views coconut groves and the Indian Ocean as backdrop, with the call of sea eagles, temple chants and rhythm of the ocean waves as the soundtrack.
Please get in touch with me, Tamsin for all questions and information you need on travelling to India, the retreat structure, style of yoga, the food and how we can make this the experience special for you. email@example.com+33 (0)6.59.85.04.55 No question is too small to ask!
The retreat is open to all. If you are new to yoga, the retreat will give you a strong foundation, or if you are looking to deepen your practice, you will benefit from focused attention to develop your strengths and weaknesses.
This is a journey into wellness to heal your body and soul with the combination of therapies. The classical Hatha Yoga teachings include authentic pranayama, asana and meditation that will help bring strength, purify and release tension and stress. The Ayurvedic treatments and integrated massages will unlock emotional blocks and resolve particular health issues.
The venue is pure paradise, situated on South Beach Clifftop near Varkala in a very quiet fishing village. Surrounded by temples, where the call to prayer is a constant reminder of daily devotion, bringing an attitude of gratitude into our practice, approach and intentions for this trip.
With fresh delicious home cooked food, Ayurvedic healing treatments and trips to the backwaters, ancient monuments and Temples. We take our time along the way to sample local dishes such as Thali’s or Masala Dosa and experience what India has to offer – a big heart and open arms.
Let your senses be inspired and your soul soothed. Connect your mind and body together with the ocean and sunshine. Experience the warmth and serenity in this truly wonderful and vibrant location that is India!
Tamsin Chubb founded Little French Retreat in South West France in 2013. She teaches yoga based on Sivananda and Yin Yoga styles. Strong and deeply restorative with an emphasis on mind body connection through breath work.
Her class begins with the practice of pranayama and meditation leading into a gentle flowing asana practice. A series of postures with variations that are specifically designed to work on all physical and psychic centres of the body, provide complete flexion of the spine and balance the endocrine, nervous and parasympathetic systems.
She completed her 500 hour Sivananda RYT certificate in Southern India under the guidance of Swami Govindananda, Swami Tattvarupananda and Mani Raman at Sivananda Yoga Vidya Peetham. She holds a diploma in basic counselling skills, has a passion for cooking and runs clean eating workshops helping people to lose weight and get healthy through eating natural foods.
You will receive an ayurvedic consultation on arrival to establish the best treatments for you during your stay. With two massages included in the trip, you can continue with treatments at the hotel spa – costs for these are extra.
Give Back Project – JJK Gurukulum
Swami Tattvarupananda, is a renowned teacher of vedanta (yoga scriptures) and sanskrit in Southern India, whom Tamsin has had the privilege to study under. A disciple of Swami Dayananda and founder of JJK Gurukulum, a care home for under privileged boys. A Gurukulm is a traditional school system where students live along side their masters, studying yoga and vedanta scriptures. They attend school, learn english and are encouraged to learn basic life skills such as plumbing, electrics and how to make soap as a product to sell. Due to the success of JJK Gurukulum, Swami Tattvarupananda is now building India’s first girls gurukulum, Shanti Gramam, in his home town Trichur in Kerala.

WHAT OTHERS SAY
“The hotel itself is quiet overlooking the beach, the yoga classes in the tree tops with the noise of the ocean in the background, the lovely group of people I shared the holiday with, the trips out – always stunning if rarely predictable, above all the organisation and input… and the list goes on…. None of it could be faulted and it all combined to make a truly memorable trip that left me feeling relaxed, de-stressed, physically toned and just in great all-round shape” – Claire, France
