Yoga and Mindful Walking

An Informative weekend exploring the benefits of meditation in an easy relaxed way using intentional breath to slow the mind, yoga to open and create space within the body, silent walking to bring peace self reflection and open dialogue to ground, strengthen and bring clarity.

We begin our day on the mat with a soulful yoga practice to include Pranayama and Asanas (postures), to release tension from our mind and body. Then, relaxed and ready to eat we move to the terrace where brunch is served.

Afternoons are spent walking in silence through the gentle rolling Gascon landscape. A meditative practice that deepens our sense of calm, provides greater self-awareness to allow the mind chatter to soften.

The combined practices' help us to understand how to shift our perception of stress and come to a place of rest and stillness. An experience to restore your health effortlessly, that gives space to reveal something new within.

Tamsin teaches traditional yoga based on a combination of styles; Sivananda Yoga, a series of postures with variations that are specifically designed to work on all physical and psychic centres of the body, provide complete flexion of the spine and balance the endocrine, nervous and parasympathetic systems – And Yin Yoga, that works to restore fascia (connective tissue) through holding postures for longer and has a deeply meditative affect to calm the mind. Her class begins with the practice of pranayama and meditation leading into a gentle flowing asana practice, resulting in feeling restored and relaxed.

The practice of yoga opens, clarifies, removes energy blocks and helps one to connect to the essence of their true nature – happiness. With long term commitment to the practice you can appreciate the ability to control the mind and transform ones life beyond the mat, beyond reactive emotions to a more gentle, peaceful approach to all that you do, with positive intentions that help guide you.

She has practiced varying styles of yoga and in 2012 took her 200 hours teaching course with Sivananda in the Himalayas, completing her 500 hour certificate in Southern India.

“A fabulous five days in this idyllic spot. Yoga, laughter, tears, delicious food and silent walks with an inspiring group. What more could you ask for? Thank you Tamsin for creating such a welcoming, beautiful place. Space to be on your own or to relax and chill out. I arrived tired, stressed and in need of a break from my two young kids, and left refreshed and revitalized, with an inner peace that I hope will last for a long time! I'd thoroughly recommend a stay here to anyone who is open to being nurtured physically, spiritually and emotionally. I'll be back!" - Rachel
