This ten day retreat is designed to recharge your batteries and rejuvenate your mind and body with the combination of Yoga & Ayurveda therapies.
Classical Hatha Yoga teachings include authentic pranayama, asana and meditation that will help bring strength, purify and release tension and stress. The Ayurvedic treatments will unlock emotional blocks and help improve particular health issues.
The retreat is open to all. If you are new to yoga, the retreat will give you a strong foundation, or if you are looking to deepen your practice, you will benefit from focused attention to develop your strengths and weaknesses. We practice twice daily yoga classes on the roof top studio overlooking views of coconut groves and the Indian Ocean as backdrop. Surrounded by the call of sea eagles, temple chants and rhythm of the waves as our soundtrack.
Tamsin Chubb founded Little French Retreat in South West France in 2013. She teaches yoga based on Sivananda and Yin Yoga styles. Strong and deeply restorative with an emphasis on mind body connection through breath work.
Her class begins with the practice of pranayama and meditation leading into a gentle flowing asana practice. A series of postures with variations that are specifically designed to work on all physical and psychic centres of the body, provide complete flexion of the spine and balance the endocrine, nervous and parasympathetic systems.
She completed her 500 hour Sivananda RYT certificate in Southern India under the guidance of Swami Govindananda, Swami Tattvarupananda and Mani Raman at Sivananda Yoga Vidya Peetham. She holds a diploma in counselling skills, is a trained flow host in open circle work and has a passion for cooking and photography. She runs retreats and workshops helping people relax, deepen their sense of inner peace and understand how to heal the body and mind with yoga, diet and nature.
Ayurveda is the ancient Hindu art of medicine originating from South India that prolongs life naturally. A complementary practice of Yoga that provides guidelines based on your body type, to approach food as medicine and environmental factors as a supportive structure for natural healing. On this retreat you will receive a personalised ayurvedic consultation to establish the best treatments for you during your stay. With two massages included in the trip, you can continue with treatments at the hotel spa – costs for these are extra.

GIVE BACK PROJECT – JJK Gurukulum
Swami Tattvarupananda, renowned teacher of vedanta (yoga scriptures) and sanskrit in Southern India, whom Tamsin has studied under. A disciple of Swami Dayananda and founder of JJK Gurukulum, a care home for under privileged boys. A Gurukulm is a traditional school system where students live along side their masters, studying yoga and vedanta scriptures. They attend school, learn english and are encouraged to learn basic life skills such as plumbing, electrics and how to make soap as a product to sell. Due to the success of JJK Gurukulum, Swami Tattvarupananda is now building India’s first girls gurukulum, Shanti Gramam, in his home town Trichur in Kerala.
10% of all profits from this trip will be donated to help with the continuation and building works for the gurukulum, with a visit during our stay to meet the children at their home.
